Dimitri Trush, violinist and composer, born to a family of professional musicians, started his violin studies at the age of 6 in the former Soviet Republics. He has appeared as a soloist with the Monterrey Youth Symphony, Mexico, at the age of 13 and has performed regularly with Trush String Quartet as a second violin.
More recently, he has appeared in concerts with Josh Groban and other reknowned touring musicians in US and Mexico. He has also been a member of Jackson Mississippi Symphony Orchestra, Mobile Symphony Orchestra, Alexandria Symphony Orchestra, East Oregon Symphony and has served as concert master for the Oregon Symphonietta.
He also recently appeared in the independent film Vocalise in the role of a violinist. His recording of Rachmaninoff's Vocalise, the film's namesake, was an essential part of the film's soundtrack.
Aside from playing professionally with duo partner and wife Akiko, he enjoys composing and arranging music, biking, hiking and traveling.
Dimitri's passion for music extends beyond his love for the violin - when he is not performing or teaching, he can often be found in his studio working on his own original compositions.
